A Part of The Milestones
Hannah and Terry are a young couple who were renting together and were considering taking the next step to buying a home for a long time. Like many people today considering buying a home, they searched endlessly online looking at different houses, and keeping track on a spreadsheet of what they liked and disliked about a property.
They heard about Wilson Group, through a friend who had purchased their home with the owner of Wilson Group, Ryan Wilson, who then connected them to our agent Charlotte Manning. From their first buyer consultation in mid-January, Charlotte learned that while they were novices in the home buying process, with the details they tracked through their spreadsheet, Charlotte was ready to hit the ground running to find them their perfect home.
Charlotte walked Hannah and Terry through the step-by-step buying process including, how to get an offer accepted in this market, the timeline between an accepted offer to closing, and how to obtain financing. Then they began touring homes in person based on their list of wants, Hannah and Terry knew they wanted at least a three-bedroom home with a nice backyard for their french bulldog Emmy.
During the first weekend of touring, there was a house they liked, and ultimately submitted an offer on it. Sadly, they were outbid by another offer. While they didn’t get this home, they learned more about the terms needed in this market in order to submit a more desirable offer the next time they found a home they loved.
They continued to tour and when they were ready to make their second offer on a home, they were aggressive right off the bat, because they knew there was no guarantee that they would have the opportunity to give their best and final.
You know what they say, everything happens for a reason! The first house they made the offer on didn't have the 3 bedrooms that they had on their list of wants, but the next one did! And now they were ready to submit the most appealing terms on a house they loved! With multiple offers submitted Charlotte worked tirelessly with the listing agent to adjust Hannah and Terry's offer making it the strongest out of 10. By the end of January, only two weeks after their first meeting, Hannah and Terry had a signed purchase and sale on their first home.

A few days before closing on their new house, Charlotte received a text from Hannah and Terry with a photo. When Charlotte opened the message she was so excited to see that they had gotten engaged on their vacation in Florida. They went from purchasing their first home as boyfriend and girlfriend to fiancées.
“It was so fulfilling to be a part of two of their biggest life moments, buying a home and getting engaged. While it feels great to win a multiple offer bidding war, it's even better to do it with great people knowing they'll make memories for a lifetime in their home,” said Charlotte.
